Enhancing the digital skills for policymakers

The training course attracted more than 60 delegates from many agencies and sectors, belonging to state agencies such as the Government Inspectorate, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Labor, and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Invalids and Social Affairs, the Ministry of Finance, and the Ministry of Planning and Investment, there were also delegates from many organizations supporting women's businesses such as the Vietnam Association of Small and Medium Enterprises, the Association of Women Entrepreneurs, and the Vietnam Association of Small and Medium Enterprises. Ms. Huong said, “The digital age is forcing us to change, change the way we work, change the way we support the business community. Digital technology is profoundly changing the way we obtain information, live, work and communicate. For governments and policymakers, digital adaptation and upskilling are indispensable to meet the new mandate.   It should be well recognized that digital technology is not only a supporting tool but also an important factor in making smart, accurate and effective decisions.

Practice text editing tools and methods

In the course, participants learned how to collect, use and analyze data to get accurate, detailed information and reliable analysis, thereby supporting the decision-making process. In addition, the lecturers helped the trainees practice the application of software, skills to help trainees save time editing documents, creating more space for creativity and developing new ideas. The practical part of the course showed that the staff can refer to a lot of foreign documents, in many different languages without having to know foreign languages, skills in storing documents in a scientific and easy way. Easy to find, and even make convincing project presentation slides, how to make complex reports simpler, faster, more interesting.

Through the implementation of these skills training events, Agency for Enterprise Development and the Project on Promoting the Development of Women Entrepreneurs: Creating a Gender Responsive Business Ecosystem – CWE hopes to partly provide knowledge helps participating officials have the opportunity to access to the latest technological information, knowledge, and up-to-date modern digital tools to improve their skills and work efficiency. The adaptation and good use of digital technology by policy officers not only helps to improve work efficiency, but also contributes to the process of building a modern, transparent and effective government, and at the same time contributes to promoting promote the development of female entrepreneurs across the country.
