HAWASME trade fair and effective sales training on e-commerce channel for female-owned SMEs in Bat Trang

At this series of events, nearly 100 female-owned SMEs were trained on "Effective Online Sales" to: Help businesses connect and take advantage of business opportunities online and using marketing platforms to grow revenue, help businesses improve their knowledge and ability to sell online effectively on e-commerce channels; Helping HAWASME's female-owned small and medium-sized enterprises and enterprises in the provinces participate in promoting and introducing their own products, direct exchange, sales and find distribution partners in the domestic market; Promoting the strengths of HAWASME in the field of trade promotion, connecting members in the association.

Surveying booths at the event Ms. Trinh Thi Huong, Deputy Director, the Agency for Enterprise Development highly appreciated HAWASME's initiative and creativity in approaching and regularly looking for opportunities, resources to support female entrepreneurs, she believes that there should be many activities and events similar to this one of HAWASME this time, to help improve women's ability to participate in the market in general and strong e-commerce in particular, creating more opportunities for female entrepreneurs of HAWASME and Vietnam in general.

Ms. Huong also shared more information about a number of projects to support female entrepreneurs across the country of the Agency for Enterprise Development, including the project Promoting the development of female entrepreneurs: Creating a gender-responsive business ecosystem, especially the Portal http://we.business.gov.vn/vi-vn/ “Ecosystem to support Female Entrepreneurs” where information is provided and shared Supporting information for women entrepreneurs, including psychological counseling corners for women and wishing HAWASME to promote the building of a network of Women Entrepreneurs in Hanoi and neighboring provinces, actively participate projects of the Enterprise Development Department in the near future.

In the opening remarks, Ms. Cristina Fentross, Acting Deputy Director, US Agency for International Development in Vietnam acknowledged the efforts of HAWASME, participating organizations and especially female entrepreneurs. provinces in organizing networking events, trade promotion, participating in training programs for female enterprises. She emphasized that SMEs account for more than 95% of businesses in Vietnam, of which the number of female-owned enterprises accounts for more than 20%. Therefore, activities to support women-owned businesses have been making an important contribution to the sustainable development of Vietnam.

Ms. Ha Thu Thanh, Vice President of VAWE emphasized that the Hanoi Association of Women Small and Medium Enterprises (HAWASME) is a pioneer member in trade promotion activities for female entrepreneurs of Vietnam Women Entrepreneurs Association. Training workshop program "Effective sales on e-commerce channels" with the cooperation and sponsorship of IPSC Project which is one of the first events to launch a series of training programs to enhance competitiveness for private enterprises, especially women-owned enterprises.

HAWASME President Ms. Mai Thi Thuy expressed her gratitude and pledged to accompany female-owned enterprises in Hanoi and affiliated provinces across the country.

HAWASME President Ms. Mai Thi Thuy would like to thank the support of state agencies during the past time for the development of HAWASME as well as the members who have helped the Association that created a solid foundation for the career of supporting businesses and female entrepreneurs. Ms. Thuy especially thanked the project sponsor IPSC and the Agency for Enterprise Development of the Ministry of Planning and Investment for this event and pledged to accompany and support the development of female-owned enterprises in Hanoi and affiliated provinces across the country.

On the first floor of the Center for Vietnamese Craftsmanship in Bat Trang, 80 stalls of member enterprises HAWASM, Hanoi Handicraft Association and a number of Women Businessmen's Associations from participating provinces introduced quality products to a large number of consumers while creating opportunities for exchanges and connections between female-owned businesses across the country.
